CBA President to call for better consumer access to insurance product information

In a speech entitled, "It’s Time to Back the Consumer," Raymond Protti, President and CEO of the Canadian Bankers Association, will speak to a joint meeting of the National Press Club of Canada and The Economic Club of Ottawa about the simple changes to the Bank Act needed to better serve consumers shopping for insurance. The speech will focus in particular on the need to carefully consider the consumer perspective during the federal government’s review of the Bank Act that was announced in the 2006 Speech from the Throne and federal Budget.
