$10,000 Reward for the Camouflage Bandit

Last modified: 05 February 2006

On February 9, 2006, the Canadian Bankers Association announced a $10,000 reward for the arrest and conviction of a bank robber known as the “Camouflage Bandit” who is suspected of being responsible for several recent robbery incidents in the regions of Hamilton, Peel, Halton, Waterloo, London, Guelph and Niagara during December 2005 and early 2006.

The CBA is offering this reward, on behalf of Canada’s banks, to assist police in their efforts to investigate and apprehend the suspect responsible for these robberies. As always, the top priority for the banking industry is ensuring that bank customers feel comfortable and secure conducting their branch transactions and that bank staff in those branches have a safe work environment.

The CBA strongly urges anyone who recognizes this individual or who may have information about his whereabouts to contact either the Hamilton Police BEAR Unit at 905-522-8477, the Peel Police Central Robbery Bureau at 905-453-2121, ext. 3410 or call Crime Stoppers at 416-222-TIPS.
